BT invites NI charities to join free MyDonate service
MyDonate recently launched the website which may well replace JustGiving and Virgin Money Giving as the most recommended website for charities due to the fact is has no fee or commission for using the service.
MyDonate is run not-for-profit (just as Virgin Money Giving) and provides a secure, easy-to-use way for millions of people to donate money to charity. The MyDonate website is designed to be safe, secure, sophisticated - yet simple to use.
With MyDonate there is no commission and no fee (unlike justgiving and virgin money giving). Every penny of the money that donors contribute excluding credit and debit card charges is paid into your bank account. BT can also collect Gift Aid on your behalf to maximise your fundraising. As the credit and debit card is a minimal charge normally of a few pence on each tranasction this can significantly reduce costs for charities who register with the service.
- BT want to encourage all UK charities to become part of the MyDonate community, starting now.
- You can register with MyDonate online now following the online instructions on the registration page.
- Once you’ve registered they will let you know as soon as you are able to start taking donations and kick off fundraising activities.
Only charities that are registered with HMRC (for charities in Northern Ireland) the Charity Commission in England and Wales, the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, or and CASCs are eligible.
